ACCOMMODATION

We are accommodated in Casas Particulares which are private houses whose owners run small, cozy guesthouses. In this way we support Cuban families and get to know their daily lives from the best perspecitve possible.

The choice of places is very important to us. We live close to the center, so we can walk to the main points of the city in a few minutes. Thanks to this, in your spare time you can explore the area on your own.

The houses are clean and tidy. We can use the living rooms as well as terraces. Bedrooms are often small. Each room has its own bathroom. We are provided with a towel, soap and toilet paper.

The houses are unusual buildings, colonial mansions, where walls & furniture remember the glory days before the revolution. We will be defenitelly stumbling over some works of art just like in the museums!

There are 3 to 6 rooms in one house. If we travel in a larger group, we stay in houses close to each other. Breakfast is included: fresh fruit juices, Cuban coffee, eggs, butter, cheese, jam, etc,

FAQ

HOW DO I FLY TO CUBA?

We travel from Stockholm and usually choose flights via Madrid or Paris. We recommend to choose HAVANA AIRPORT as it is the biggest one but if you choose SANTIAGO PASS you can fly to another airport closer to Santiago de Cuba. See more information about the airports in Cuba => AIRPORTS IN CUBA.

HOW TO TRAVEL FROM HAVANA AIRPORT TO CITY?

Taxi from Havana Airport to City Center costs around 30 eur per car. We can help you organise a taxi and probably a group of people that could travel together and share the cost.

There is also a possibility to travel with comfortable bus where a ticket costs around 7 EUR => VIAZUL AGENCY.

Check also HOW TO BOOK VIAZUL BUS.

HOW DO I FLY FROM CUBA?

Our trip ends in Santiago de Cuba and we choose to travel by bus back to Havana. You can join us and share a private bus (around 125 EUR per person - this transfer is not included in the ticket's price) or you can choose VIAZUL public transportation buses for around 60 USD per person. If you would like to travel fast, you can fly intercity flight which costs around 200 EUR.

You can as well choose any other airport in Cuba depending on your vacation plans => AIRPORTS CUBA.

CAN I BOOK A SINGLE ROOM?

Yes, you can book a single room instead of a double room, include your choice during registration process. Every room in Casas Particulares has its own bathroom. Additional fee for a Single Room is 15 € per night.

HOW TO PAY IN CUBA?

Currently in Cuba there is a very small possibility to pay with a card. Majority of shops accept only Cuban Pesos.
We are able to help you with cash exchange EUR to Cuban Pesos, while in Cuba, so you don't need to worry about currency exchange.
